How To Supercharge Your Mornings, Banish Fatigue And Be Productive

Home » How To Supercharge Your Mornings, Banish Fatigue And Be Productive

Morning is an important time of day because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have and don’t be fooled by the calendar, there are only as many days in the year as you make use of. One man gets only a week’s value out of a year while another man gets a full year’s value out of a week.

Waking up early throws a lot of time at your disposal which enhances your level of productivity; for me, waking up early and staying energized was more of a chore than a productive edge.

My day started with morning prayers with my family and after that my life just spins around the clock with little or no plans plotted and outlined for the day, just the casual vibe of surviving which was going to work, school, spending a lot of time behind my phone keypads with my responsibilities and activities clustered and uncoordinated leaving me unproductive and behind schedule.

But things changed and I started to get efficient results when I tweaked my morning routine and adjusted the activities I indulge in to kick start my day.

The first developing ritual I initiated was waking up early by 5 am and cultivating my hormones to be productive and energized, giving myself a productivity boost. I didn’t just go to bed, I had a powerful and effective night routine that I followed religiously as a guide for my mornings.

Success is preparation meeting opportunity so before you go to bed apply the following;

  • Eat light food so you can feel alert.
  • Sleep at least 5 hours to the time you want to wake up.
  • Try not to overwork yourself; your work might be over-demanding, you may be a nightcrawler; do not always push yourself beyond boundaries, know when to call it a shot and give yourself that adequate rest or sleep-ins when due and necessary.
  • Shower and brush your teeth.
  • Put your phone away at the right time.
  • Play calming music and
  • Reflect.

Productivity is like a toolbox of knowledge, a catalog of information hanged and applied to the center zone of control which entails a lot of discipline, patience, sacrifice, and more practice.

The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now, not tomorrow, not next week but today and until we can manage time, we can manage nothing else.

Time is the scarcest resource to productivity and unless it is managed nothing else can be managed or achieved.

Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.

Changing my routine led to a lot of success, organization and growth in my life which didn’t just happen with ease or with the flick of a finger; I disciplined myself to be accountable and devoted to my development with these tested and efficient tips that will aid and simplify your production level.

1.  Early To Bed, Early To Rise

One will outline the long old formula but this isn’t always helpful or an applicable formula to a nightcrawler.

I usually attend to my work at night, I am literally more productive at midnight when the chaos of the day and noise has been buried, the serenity of the environment ease things for me and inspires me so much. So, the first thing I did was to declutter wasteful routines.

Schedule and declutter your long to-do list of all your activities for the next day. The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities; know your priorities and cut out unnecessary activities eating into your time. That way you are able to create a balance of retiring 5 hours to the time you want to wake up and keep track of your level of productivity.

Effective performance is preceded by painstaking preparations; do not belittle the power of organization from this easy step. Avoid distractions like your fingertips highlighting your screen as the first thing in the morning when you wake up…

I am still trying to practice this, just attending to my needs and unplugging from the social world for the first few hours of the day and it hasn’t been quite easy. There is a sort of attachment to your device to check on it once you wake up but with a lot of consciousness, I am getting there.

I do not let messages or calls distract me when I am attending to activities carved for that span of time. Focus on being productive instead of busy! Ordinary people think merely of spending time, great people think of using it.

So Prepare,

Prioritize and

Take Action!

2.  Wash Your Face As Soon As You Wake Up

I know this is literally hard, dragging yourself for a wash but the touch of water will rejuvenate and tickle your pulse to be active.

This is like a shocker out of your pleasurable bliss but you have to, it helps to calm you down from recycling the stress of the previous day.

If you overworked yourself or clustered your control panel with so many thoughts or you are having a hangover or touch from yesterday, those drops of water will cool you down and activate your adrenaline for the day.

3.  Drink Water

This is totally important, I cannot overstress this. It’s absolutely refreshing, gulping water after you wake up in the morning, it makes you feel good, it hydrates your body, increases your energy levels and helps ease aches and pains. Drinking water helps to lubricate and cushion joints so when you wake up do not hesitate to have a glass of water.

Our body loses a lot of water through digestion, breathing, and maintenance so water is a necessary soluble not just for mornings but all through the day.

4.  Never Hit Snooze

Arrghhh! This is the most difficult part; a part of you want to slouch in for just one minute just a little more doze and I’ll be up DON’T DO IT…..NEVER try and get off your bed…Rise!

Let your focal goals be encrypted as a reminder at this point.

The human body is a powerhouse that functions with signals and messages so once your alarm rings, hit the reminder button on, with a reason as to why you have to stand up and be in control. This may take a while to practice with self-discipline which is totally okay.

Have a productive hack, by this I mean have a passionate reason burning in to take charge for the day.

Like the excitement perceived from going on a date with your crush, you meeting up with an interview; there is a constant push and surge that pushes the importance and value of meeting up with such appointments, a spur will be activated that will charge you to move towards conquering your goals in the morning .

You don’t have to be so hard on yourself, start by sitting up, looking out your window, drinking a glass of water and then standing up- little steps build success and great acts are made up of small deeds.

5.  Stretch Your Mind, Body, And Soul

Connect with your spiritual by meditating and journaling.

Journaling gives room for the expansion of your mind, thoughts, and emotions. Drawing you closer to mindfulness as you clear your mind and stretch your conceptions; write and analyze your goals for the day, employ your fourth dimension in picturing what your day will unfold into. in other words, envision your day, write about it and have diagrams drawn up in your journal.

Your to-do list for channeling into your inner zone should be:

  • Reconciling your body and soul.
  • Empowering your spiritual constituency.
  • Graft positivism into the roots of your mind.
  • Hang positivity on the museum of your body.
  • Install it into your bones.
  • Dig into the shadows lurking in your mind.
  • And release the beam of light.

6.  Declare Positive Affirmation

Outline positive affirmations as well as pronouncing positivity to yourself, look at yourself in the mirror and affirm positive mantra to your day.

Plant positivity, water your utterance, weed off doubt, nourish it with consistency and watch them grow.

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year to live for and conquer; don’t let yesterday use up too much of today.

Each morning when you open your eyes say to yourself “I choose what I shall be today; happy or unhappy”.

I Affirm,

That this is a wonderful day,
That I have never seen before.

I am thankful for everything I’ve lost,
And everything I’ve gained.
I am honoring what
I can control,
And what I cannot.
I am humbled by those
Who could love me,
and those who could not.
I am learning to
grow from the duality
of my life.

I am hooking up with those goals,
Seducing opportunities,
Turning them into good fortunes.
Stripping fear,
Luring anxiety,
And entrapping success.

These little tips will go a long way in influencing and motivating you as an individual to do better and keep a healthy check on your growth, activities, and development.

They may not be new tips or new discoveries but how you implement them will define the newness of growth and productivity that will be encrypted in your life.
